First Asia CyberCrime Summit

ATTENDANCE BY INVITATION ONLY
Discussions between industry sponsors (i.e. Microsoft, Visa, Mastercard,
IFPI, MPA and IDSA), the Centre for Criminology, University of Hong Kong
in association with Hong Kong law enforcement agencies have produced a
CyberCrime Summit draft programme. Senior national law enforcement officers
and policy makers from the following countries/regions are invited: China,
Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia,
Singapore, India, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and
Indonesia.
The objectives of the summit are:
1. Promote regional law-enforcement co-operation and mutual assistance;The overall structure, content and logistics of the summit , including the current draft programme of topics and speakers is available on request from the Centre.2. Enhance awareness of commercial crime activity via the internet and e-commerce;
3. Strengthen understanding of the socio-economic impact of crime related to digital intellectual property [dgIP] and;
4. Improve capability in the investigation of commercial crime in cyber-space.
